Tournament Rules
- All teams must have a roster on record with the tournament director (including players’ names, jersey numbers, grade, school – plus names of all coaches). This will serve as a pass list for your team.
- Taking possession of your Baden Lexum Elite game ball is conditional on the following sportsmanship points: attending team rep meeting, no technical fouls, control of fans, clean benches, no food or drink inside Furtado Center.
- Fifth Grade plays round-robin with top two records advancing to championship game. Sixth Grade and Platinum Divisions play two preliminary games to determine seedings in single-elimination bracket play.
- Ties for seedings broken by (in order): 1. Head-to-Head Results, 2. Overall Point Differential (+/- 15 points maximum per game), 3. Overall Points Scored (50 points maximum per game), 4. Coin Flip (or, for Fifth Grade, a two-minute playoff).
- Games are 20-minute running clock halves. Clock is stopped during free throws, the last two minutes of each half, and during timeouts. Clock will run if one team has a 20-point lead and will revert to stop provisions if the lead gets down to 15 points.
- Three (3) one-minute timeouts, one (1) 20-second timeout.
- Two-minute overtime if teams are tied after regulation; one-minute, stop-clock overtime if teams are tied after subsequent overtime periods. One timeout (one-minute) per team for each overtime period. No carry over on timeouts. No shot clock; 10-second backcourt violation.
- KeyArena games: 20-minute running clock, stop last two minutes only, three one-minute timeouts, one-minute overtimes.
- No shot clock; 10-second backcourt violation.
- No backcourt defense for 5th & 6th Grade teams leading by 15 or more points; no backcourt for Platinum teams leading by 20 or more.
- Technical fouls are two points and possession.
- Five personal fouls per player each game, seven team fouls for bonus, 10 team fouls for double bonus.
- With the exception of the above, high school rules apply. All disputes will be resolved by the tournament directors. There will be no further protest.
- Tournament directors are: Glenn Nelson and Chris Bown.
