More than 100 of the top players in California and Nevada, including Nikki Speed of Marlborough, converged on the Cal State Fullerton campus on Saturday.

FULLERTON, Calif. - The 5th annual adidas All-American Evaluation Camp was held at the Titan Center on the campus of Cal State Fullerton on Saturday, featuring more than 120 of the top players from California and Nevada. The camp began with a dynamic agility and skills workout presented by Fred Hawthorne (Better Body Today) along with the adidas All-American Evaluation Camp staff. The camp continued with two competitive rounds of games, which showcased the depth of the talent present.



Hana Asano, 5-6 guard, South Torrance
Hard-working off-guard plays solid defense.

Courtney Clemente, 6-1 forward, Long Beach Milikan
Clemente showed very nice potential to evolve into a top-notch 2008 prospect. One of the revelations of the camp displayed a nice touch around the basket. Being recruited by every Pac-10 school.

Jasmine Dixon, 6-1 guard, Long Beach Poly
Active and agile guard has real scoring talent. Slashing scorer and is a tough defender. Dixon is a top-five recruit in the country for her class. She will definitely make an immediate impact at the next level. All the top 25 schools are recruiting Dixon.

Jasmine Duckworth, 5-9 guard, Brentwood
Agile combo-guard runs floor well and can finish when she drives to the hoop.

Jonae Ervin, 5-5 point guard, Brea Olinda
Very talented lead guard can really stroke it. Terrific defender anticipates well and makes big plays at both ends of the floor.

Rebekah Gardner, 6-1 forward, Ayala
Gardner is a big time scoring wing prospect. Great work ethic, attitude and athleticism make her one to keep both eyes on this spring and summer. Rebekah will emerge as one of the top players in this class.

Chelsey Hastigan, 5-6 guard, Valencia
Fundamentally sound point guard plays with poise.

Jessica Korzelius, 6-0 forward,Tesoro
Active post player finishes well in traffic.

Kristen McCarthy, 6-0 wing, Bishop Amat
Aggressive wing player with energy plays excellent defense! Exceptional slashing scorer can really get to the basket off the dribble. Very athletic, with a really nice mid-range game.

Macey Nortey, 5-5 guard, Long Beach Milikan
Very solid and strong point has steady handle. Small PG plays with a lot of toughness and sets the table well for teammates.

Brittany Pennell, 6-0 wing, Magnolia
Agile wing has a bright upside.

Mykea Russell, 5-0 guard, Washington Prep
Tough lead guard takes good care of the rock.

Sherrie Session, 6-0 wing, Valley Christian
Combo-forward has good size and an advanced skill set.

Rana Simpson, 6-1 forward, Windward
Active inside player has nice “face-up” shooting ability.

Nikki Speed, 5-9 guard Marlborough
Smooth, guard that makes great decisions and always plays with poise. Speed is one of the top players in the country in the class of 2008. Has a rock solid handle and knows how to run a team. Every top 25 program is recruiting Speed.

Ashley Wakefield, 5-8 wing,Washington Prep
Aggressive defender an impressive slashing scorer.



Talia Caldwell, 6-4 post, Marlborough
Aggressive banger down low has nice mobility and can finish on the block. Wide-body post is more nimble than you think and has a very nice feel for the game. Possessing a soft touch along with a knack for the ball make her a dangerous inside scoring threat. Caldwell will have all the high major schools all over her this spring and summer when they see this physical specimen.

Natasha Hadley, 6-4 post, Perris
Very improved post-player displayed a nice touch around the basket (including the ability to finish with either hand). Hadley is a formidable rebounder and shot-blocker, too.

Maryum Jenkins, 5-7 guard, Monrovia
Very athletic combo-guard is an excellent slashing scorer and good finisher.

Jamani King, 5-11 forward, Etiwanda
Physical post rebounds well and is very good around the basket.

Maiya Moody, 5-5 guard, Perris
Speedy point is a very good passer.


Cierra Windham
Jazmyne Porter, 5-6 guard, Long Beach Wilson
True point has nice court instincts and runs her squad effectively.

Briahna Richardson, 5-8 guard, Pacific Hills
Good shooter has huge basketball IQ. Daughter of UCLA and NBA great “Pooh” Richardson, Briahna is a versatile guard, with a great mid-range game. Athletic combo-guard exhibited a very nice all-around game

Stephanie Scamman, 5-7 guard, Montclair Prep
Solid ball handler and defender makes sound decisions.

Jaqueline Salas, 5-8 guard, Bishop Amat
Salas has a very nice feel for the game and excellent scoring stroke.

Shaylese Shofner, 6-2 forward, Lynwood
Physical defender is an excellent rebounder and underrated scorer.

Gizelle Studevent, 6-0 wing, La Jolla Country Day
Very skilled Wing has an accurate perimeter stroke that extends to the three-point line. Gizelle is a very good student. Active and agile, Studevent has real scoring talent. She will open up a lot of eyes this spring and summer with the sthleticism she brings to the floor.

Christina Williams, 5-2 guard, Horizon
Smooth lead guard makes good decisions and always plays with heart. Williams has a nice mid-range game.

Cierra Windham, 6-3 forward, Norco
Strong forward has wide shoulders and a knack for getting to the free-throw line. Athletic wing with a nice jumper as well as impressive back-to-the basket moves. Advanced footwork and passion for the game make her a coveted recruit.

Meghin Williams, 6-2 post, Summit
Physical post rebounds well and finishes around the basket. Very good defender.

2010 Checklist


Aaryn Ellenberg, 5-7 guard, Bishop Gorman
Scrappy point can knock down perimeter shots and has a very confident handle. Savvy playmaker has nice scoring skills and the court instincts necessary to be a premier floor general.

Andrea Bird, 6-1 forward, San Diego
Wide-body post moves very well for her size. Finishes around the basket with both hands. Physical post rebounds well.

Rhema Gardner, 6-2 wing, Ayala
Intriguing wing finished well in transition and has a very nice upside. Shoots the ball from the perimeter very well. Gardner will emerge as one of the top prospects to come out of this class in the country when all is said and done.

Nicole Nesbit, 5-5 guard, Harvard Westlake
Very quick point is a harassing defender.

Jasmine Randolph, 5-5 guard, Bloomington
“Tough as nails” lead guard has a potent perimeter stroke and handles with authority.

Adrianne Thomas, 5-7 guard, Summit
Quick PG has crafty handle and plays excellent “D”.



Kacy Swain, 6-2 forward, Middle School
Athletic, slashing scorer makes plays at both ends, great poise for a kid her age. Plays well beyond her years. Swain will be a force to be reckoned with.

Samaree Wallace, 5-10 forward, Middle School
Scrappy kid plays with heart and has a winning attitude. Raw, but will become a great player out of this class.
