Full Court Recruiting: How has your high school season gone so far?
Ariel Massengale: My high school season has been going well so far. Our record is 15-4. We have lost all of our games to out of state teams. The teams we have lost to are: Ben Davis (Indiana) and South Bend from Indiana, Cardinal O' Hara (Pennsylvania) in the Tournament of Champions championship game, and St. Michaels from New York.
Full Court Recruiting: What things have you been specifically working on to make yourself a better player?
Ariel Massengale: This season I have been working on my court vision. I have been working on being able to hit my teammates when they are open for that split second. I have also been working on my defense this year.
Full Court Recruiting: How is your recruiting going so far?
Ariel Massengale: Right now I am not looking at any colleges. I have not visited any either. Right now I am just focusing on my high school team and trying to win my first state championship.
Full Court Recruiting: What club team will you be playing for this summer?
Ariel Massengale:I play for the Illinois Dream Team, which is mainly my high school team. Our coach keeps us together all year long.
Full Court Recruiting: What are your final goals to wrap up the high school season on a positive note?
Ariel Massengale: My goal for the end of this season is to finish as the 2009 IHSA class 4A Illinois State Champion.
