Full Court Prep:How has your high school season gone so far?
Andraya Carter: My high school season has been going great. My team (Buford) is 21-1 and the train just keeps rolling. However it’s not only winning the games, it’s the bond I have created with my teammates. We all get along great and our chemistry on the court is amazing. There have been some rough games and practices of course but I love this season so far.
Full Court Prep:What specific aspects of your game have you been working on to improve the most?
Andraya Carter:I have been working on my penetration to the basket a lot because it creates good shots for my teammates I have also been working on my rebounding, ball handling, and passing. In my opinion I can always get better and I will never be satisfied.
Full Court Prep:How is your recruiting going so far? Do you have any favorites?
Andraya Carter: As a freshman I don’t really have a top list of any colleges yet. I have visited Duke, North Carolina, NC State, Auburn, Florida State, Georgia, Georgia Tech, and Clemson. I talk to many college coaches every week or so just to stay in touch. Coach Frese from Maryland was at our practice the other day which was awesome!
Full Court Prep: What are your plans for the spring and summer as far as club basketball?
Andraya Carter: I will be playing in Brandon Clay’s Peach State Hoops event in April as well as many others throughout the summer. I am on the 6 time state champion Georgia Elite 16u team (junior class) coached by Tim Ellis.
