Take a look at the top 2010, 2011, 2012, and 2013 prospects at the Peach State Tip Off Classic in Atlanta, GA. Brandon Clay's event was one of the most talented event in the South this year.

Peach State 2010 Fab Five

Shaunice McKinney, 6’4,’’ C, Lefore, AL

The Buzz: McKinney solidified herself as a Top 40 recruit in the class of 2010 with her performance this weekend. McKinney was a factor on the defensive end, blocking shots and defending opponents’ top posts. McKinney also showed evidence of offensive skill, hitting shots from the outside, handling the ball and finishing around the basket with either hand.

Lauren Coleman, 5’10,’’ F, Parkview, GA

The Buzz: Coleman is somewhat of a “tweener,” but is very good in the Georgia Elite system. Coleman hit perimeter shots and handled the ball well for her size. Coleman has a college-ready body and is tough on the defensive end.

Latavia Dempsey, 5’8,’’ G, Boca Ciega, FL

The Buzz: Dempsey was possibly the top scoring threat in the event this weekend. Dempsey showed her ability to play both the point and the shooting guard spots. Dempsey also proved herself to be a capable front-line defender.

Mimi Hill, 6’3,’’ F, Winder Barrow, GA

The Buzz: Hill might be the most improved player from last year to this year. Hill is the sister of Georgia All-American Tasha Humphrey. Hill’s long frame and ability to stick shots from the outside may move her into the Top 50 nationally by the end of the summer.

Ebony Rowe, 5’9,’’ G/F, Dunbar, KY

The Buzz: One of the best overall athletes in the event, Rowe did a great job slashing to the basket and finishing tough shots. Rowe did not display a lot of range but as she develops she will continue to gain the attention of a large number of college coaches.

Lanie Whitiker, 6’2,’’ G, Boling Springs, SC (UNC-Charlotte commit)

Jenae Wilson, 6’3,’’ C, Lakewood, FL

Peach State 2011 Fab Five

Sarah Hammond, 6’3,’’ F, Rockcastle, KY

The Buzz: Hammond is still very raw but you can see her skill and she can play a variety of positions. One would think that Hammond would be in the Top 100 in 2011 when her time comes. Hammond’s ability to stick outside shots and handle the ball makes her a value in the 2011 class.

Kayla Brewer, 6’2,’’ F, Ribault, FL

The Buzz: Brewer did not have a breakout weekend but her athletic ability and skill were evident nonetheless. Brewer does not stick the deep ball yet but has a variety of moves to get to the basket and hit mid-range jumpers. She is still working on learning to defend the perimeter, but she is a high-major prospect.

Sydney Wallace, 5’8,’’ G, Northeast, GA

The Buzz: Wallace, the best 2011 guard in the event, suited up for Southeast Elite. Wallace can stick outside shots as well as get to the basket. Wallace has a high basketball IQ for being such a young player and probably was her team’s MVP this past weekend.

Brianna Wright, 6’3,’’ F, Titusville, FL

The Buzz: Wright, like Hammond, will likely land in the Top 100 of the class of 2011. Wright has a great frame at 6’3’’ and is an outstanding rebounder. Like Hammond, Wright can hit outside shots, an ability which she displayed from time to time during the weekend. Wright’s athletic ability and skill set will end up pushing her to the top of Division I.

Laurie Beaty, 5’8,’’ G, Jefferson, FL

The Buzz: Beaty had a breakout weekend, showing she is one of the top-scoring guards in the class of 2011. Beaty can handle the ball well. She is great taking the ball to the basket and also displayed some deep range. Look for her stock to continue to rise in 2011.

Best of the Rest 2011 Prospects

Alex Boyer, 5’8,’’ G, Kennesaw Mountain, GA
Monique Bunk, 5’5,’’ PG, Olympia, FL

Carissa Coddington, 5’9,’’ G, Nova, FL

Benee Glanton, 6’4,’’ C, Jefferson, FL

Jessica Goble, 5’8,’’ G, Buchholtz, FL

Elem Ibiam, 6’4,’’ C, Spalding, GA

Monique Jackson, 6’2,’’ F, Central Phoenix, AL

Brianna Jones, 6’2,’’ F, Whitfield, GA

Quanisha McCurdy, 6’4,’’ C, Whitfield, GA

Madison McDonald, 5’8,’’ G, St. Augustine, FL

Wendy Miller, 6’2,’’ F, Palakta, FL

Sydney Montgomery, 6’2,’’ Lassiter, GA

Emmalee Schill, 6’3,’’ F, St. Augustine, FL

Laurne Tibbs, 6’4,’’ F, Scott County, KY

Tori Waldner, 6’4,’’ C, Milton, GA

T’Keyah Williams, 6’3,’’ C, Nova, FL

Keyiania Youngblood, 6’3,’’ C, Robertsdale, GA

Peach State 2012/2013 Fab 5 Players

Shavontae Naylor, 5’9,’’ G, Forest, FL (2012)

The Buzz: Naylor is an unknown who is making her mark in the class of 2012. Naylor’s ability to defend and score puts her in the national elite among her peers. Athletically, it would be difficult to find someone more efficient on both ends and once Naylor’s skill set catches up with her native athletic ability, people will take notice.

Tiffany Mitchell, 5’8,’’ G, Providence Day, NC (2012)

The Buzz: Mitchell is not very often the second-best guard of her class in an event, but she already has attracted interest from the triangle schools and most of the ACC. Mitchell struggled some to hit shots from the outside but is great on the drive and is a good passer. Mitchell is long for 5’8’’ and can defend well.

Makayla Epps, 5’8,’’ G, Marion, KY (2013)

The Buzz: Epps was impressive for being in only the eighth grade. Athletically, Epps gets an A+ but she is also very skilled with the ball. Epps also seemed able to understand how to play in a system like Kentucky Blue Chip’s and will be a top-level national recruit in 2013.

Jessica Thomas, 5’7,’’ G, Buchholtz, FL (2013)

The Buzz: Thomas is a prolific scorer who can also play the point. Thomas is just in the eighth grade but already has a recognizable name from her performance the past few years in Florida. Look for her to be at the top of the 2013 guard class in the South.

Andraya Carter, 5’8,’’ G, Buford, GA (2012)

The Buzz: Carter’s ability to run a team and a maturity beyond her years makes her the top point-guard prospect in the class of 2012. One major college coach expressed to me she would be their overall Number One pick from the entire event. Carter is athletic and can score as well.

Lauren Bodine, 5’8,’’ G, Manuel, KY ( )
