Carson-Newman knew it was running into a buzz saw by being the first team to face Tennessee since its loss last spring in the opening round of the NCAA tourney, and the Lady Vols spit out a 124-34 win over the undersized Lady Eagles. Pat Summitt and her coaching staff went into the game hoping to see better leadership and composure than a year ago, and her team delivered.
